My grandson's dad, who is in the Army, was just deployed to Iraq. The boys are interested in everything Army. I live in another state so when I came across this tub of soldiers w/two in parachutes, I couldn't pass it up! My daughter said the boys just loved the barrel of soldiers and played with them right away. My daughter said it was even more special since it was associated with "Toy Story" the movie, which they love, and that the quality of the toys were much better than the toy store variety. I was very pleased to hear the of the good response.

This product came faster than anticipated and in excellent condition! But the best part is our grandsons LOVE it!! These soldiers are of good quality! They are durable and made of a new kind of hard plastic that isn't sharp to the touch but rounded and smooth. They are a brighter green too. The bucket is a wonderful way to keep them all together and in one place.
Our grandson's eyes opened wide and they were very excited to open that bucket! They both sat down and started playing with them. Since they are 5 years and 2 1/2 years old we were quite surprised how the 2 1/2 year old took some and played with them too! I recommend them!!

My son like numerous other children loves the Toy Story movies. He loves these little guys they are exactly like the movie, except they don't come to life. However, you will come to life when you step on one of these at 5:00 AM in the morning!!
Tangled strings but cool May 28, 2010

It is a nice set. You get 72 soldiers (including two paratroopers). The main problem with the paratroopers is first when you put them back in the bucket the strings get tangled up and it's a real stress to fix. Also, with the paratroopers it's hard to let them drop. I'm always afraid the soldiers going to melt, but they are a cool toy anyway. There are even some poses I've never seen before!

These toy soldiers were absolutely wonderful for my 5 year old son! They look JUST like the ones in the movie!! And I love the fact that there's no sharp edges to cut his little fingers on. Like someone above me said - the only bad thing is that the parachutes do get tangled up very easily, but I really don't think there is any that can be done about that. We LOVE these & have TONS of fun playing with them! Would definately recommend them! :)
